GS Engineering To Build Port Facilities In UAE
11.25.2009 - NEWS
GS Engineering & Construction Co., a South Korean builder, said Monday it has clinched a US$520 million order to construct port facilities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The port, which is to be built in Ruwais, about 250 kilometers west of Abu Dhabi, will be used for shipments of crude oil and oil products.

GS sealed the deal with Takreer, also known as Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Co., shortly after winning a record US$3.1 billion contract to build oil refinery facilities in the same area. Both orders form part of a project to expand such facilities in the industrial town.
Construction of the facilities is scheduled to be completed by February 2014.
