Authorities consider location of oil tank farm in Ust-Luga

Authorities are considering the location of an oil tank farm in Ust-Luga port, Russia.

The Declaration of Intent on location of the farm in the Kingisepp municipal district of the Leningrad Region has been recently considered by the Interagency Committee.
The Committee has approved the location having considered the Declaration. The project is a part of Transneft’s Baltic Pipeline System-2 (BPS-2) and the recently acquired Ust-Luga Bunkering complex. The oil tank farm is intended for storage and transshipment of oil from the BPS-2 to 100,000-dwt oil tankers. The facility is to be located on the eastern shore of the Luga Bay (Gulf of Finland), north of the Khabalovka river.
