December 13, 2021 [powderbulksolids] – Colonial Chemical Solutions Inc. (CCS), a subsidiary of Savannah, GA-based Colonial Group Inc., announces the acquisition of Industrial Chemicals Inc.

An 80-year-old company headquartered in Richmond, VA, Industrial Chemicals Inc. provides a wide selection of industrial chemicals, and offers services including repackaging, storage, custom blending, contract storage and packaging, and chemical logistical support.

CCS is a leading independent chemical distributor in the Southeast region. As a subsidiary of Colonial Group Inc., a diversified energy and port-related company and one of America’s largest privately-held companies, CCS provides value-added services by utilizing company-owned storage facilities in Savannah and Wilmington, NC, along with an extensive logistics network.

As an added benefit, the Savannah terminal is adjacent to the fourth largest and one of the busiest container ports within the US. This leverages the company’s position to source the world’s leading chemical plants and provide its customer base with economic advantages, as well as the ability to export products.
