Zhejiang Gench Energy Brings its Oil Storage Terminal Onstream

August 26, 2011 [C1 Energy] - Gench Energy Development Co in East China’s Zhejiang Province started operation of a 290,000-m3 oil tank farm in July, said a source with the company.


“We launched operation on Jul 19 when one 38,000-mt cargo of oil products arrived,” said the source.
Located in Xixiezhi in Zhoushan City, the tank farm contains tanks mainly for heavy oil and oil products, according to the source. It is also equipped with a 50,000-dwt jetty and a 5,000-dwt one.
Gench Energy Development Co is a subsidiary of Shanghai Gench Group and it invests mainly in the development of energy and mineral resources. The company boosted its storage capacity to 340,000 m3 after bringing the 290,000-m3 tank farm on stream.
