Vopak Horizon Fujairah adds 606,000 m³

April 20, 2010 [Vopak] - Vopak Horizon Fujairah has decided to expand its terminal in the United Arab Emirates by 606,000 m³ to meet growing market demand. The total storage capacity will be more than 2.1 million cubic meters after completion of the expansion in the first quarter of 2012.

With the growing demand and development of a refining center in the Middle East region, the Port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates is further developing from a regional hub into a global
logistics hub. This has resulted into increasing international trade flows that lead to a growing need for make-bulk and break-bulk services and blending.
The expansion consists of 20 new tanks with sizes ranging from 20,000 m³ to 40,000 m³ for the storage of fuel oil and clean petroleum products.
