Vopak announces new Terminal Purchase
10.03.2008 - NEWS
Vopak announces that Vopak Terminal Wilmington, Inc. has purchased ExxonMobil’s terminal in South Wilmington, North Carolina.

The terminal, which has been operated by Vopak since 1991, is located on the east bank of the Cape Fear River and serves as a storage facility for oil and chemical products. Through this acquisition Vopak is able to expand its storage capacity in the port of Wilmington, which is an important location on the east coast of the USA for the distribution of fuels. The terminal, which will be named Vopak Terminal Wilmington South, is Vopak’s second terminal in this port. It currently operates approximately 50,000 cubic meters (313,000 barrels) of storage capacity, which can be increased considerably in the future.
