Vitol: Cressier Refinery Restarts
07.26.2012 - NEWS

July 26, 2012 [OPIS] - Former Petroplus refinery Cressier in Switzerland is fully operational, trading company Vitol said on Wednesday.

Varo Energy S.A., a joint venture between Vitol and AtlasInvest, accomplished the final phase of restarting its recently purchased 68,000-b/d refinery.

“With a number of investments made following the acquisition, conditions are now met to fully resume refining and corresponding marketing operations with safety as the key priority,” Vitol confirmed.

The refinery closed in January when Swiss refiner Petroplus went into administration. Varo Energy bought Cressier in May.
