Valero temporarily halts gas, diesel sales to unbranded customers at Paducah
04.30.2011 - NEWS

April 30, 2011 [Opis] - Valero has cut off unbranded gasoline and diesel customers at the TransMontaigne terminal in Paducah, Ky., according to an April 27 notice. The supplier said it won't have gasoline or distillates available to them until further notice.

The decision is due to severe weather this week in the Southeast where storms and tornadoes ripped through six states including Kentucky. Heavy flooding from the storms, and the rising Mississippi River prompted ExxonMobil to close its Memphis, Tenn. terminal for 18 days. The terminal will be shut from April 29 through May 16.
