July 09, 2024 [Trammo]- Trammo, Inc. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Trammo Terminals, Inc. has acquired Lemm Operations, LLC (“Lemm Corp”), an experienced operator and provider of engineering and terminal management services to large chemical facilities throughout the United States. Over the years since its founding in 1963, some of the most respected names in the chemical industry have entrusted Lemm Corp with their chemical storage and terminal management needs.

Trammo has a long, continuous history of partnering with Lemm Corp in managing its chemical storage and terminal operations. Trammo has outsourced to Lemm Corp the physical operations at Trammo’s anhydrous ammonia terminals in Meredosia, Illinois since 1989 and in Niota, Illinois since 2015. Since 2018, Lemm Corp has managed Trammo’s nitric acid production facility in North Bend, Ohio. From this long and successful relationship with Lemm Corp, Trammo believes the acquisition will help Trammo realize its strategic vision for its facilities and ensure that its terminal operations remain safe and secure for the future.

In addition to being Trammo’s exclusive terminal operator, Lemm Corp manages and operates other facilities in the United States owned by major chemical companies. Lemm Corp has extensive experience managing the receipt, storage, transloading, and shipment of various commodities, such as anhydrous ammonia, sulfuric acid, sodium cyanide, acetone, methanol, and methyl methacrylate. Lemm Corp maintains the highest safety standards in compliance with U.S. regulatory and Homeland Security agencies.

Trammo’s CEO Edward Weiner commented: “We are pleased to announce this exciting acquisition which complements Trammo’s strategic core businesses. We look forward to the Lemm Corp team continuing to serve our existing ammonia and nitric acid facilities and expanding our business operations.”

Trammo’s President of North America Trading Jeffrey Minnis said: “This acquisition will further our close relationship with Lemm Corp and provide for future expansion in the U.S. and abroad to better serve our customers and suppliers as well as third parties requiring top-notch chemical storage and terminalling operations.”

John Lemm, President of Lemm Corp, said: “We have had a close bond with Trammo for over 35 years and are delighted to become part of the Trammo family. We look forward to continuing to meet and exceed safely all of Trammo’s and our other clients’ operational requirements.”
