The biggest storage terminal along the Yantz is to be built in Nanjing

December 29, 2011 [TankTerminals.com] - It is learnt that Phase I project of Qingjing Terminal built by Qingjiang Petrochemical Company in Nanjing is coming to the end. It is expected to become operational in May 2012. The total project will be completed in 2013.


At th end of last year, Qingjiang Petrochemical invested RMB 1 billion to start the construction of a 650,000m3 teminal in Nanjing Chemical Park. This terminal is located inside Nanjing Chemical Park by Yantz. It shall have its special railway line.
Upon completion, it shall be accessible by road, river and railway. Phase I comprises 2 x 50,000 DWT liquid chemical jetty and Phase II, a 70,000 DWT liquid chemical jetty. The total tank farm occupies a land area of 200,000m2. In total 48 tanks will be built with the total capacity of 650,000m3.

It is understood that the jetty’s annual throughput will reach 6 million tons, making the terminal the biggest tank terminal along the Yantz. It is estimated that the project’s annual turnover will be around RMB 7 billion and annual tax around RMB 200 million.
