December 23, 2011 [Schuttevaer] - Rubis Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam have signed an agreement for the expansion of the Rubis area with 4.4 hectares.

The 4.4 ha. is now leased by neighbour Evonik who will vacate this plot in 2013. Another part of the Evonik plot (2.8 ha.) will go to Cargill, Evonik’s neighbour at the other side.

As a consequence of this expansion, Rubis will also expand the capacity of their existing jetty capacity.

Furthermore, Rubis will be able to double its storage capacity to about 350,000 m³ with this expansion.
