REG® Opens New Biodiesel Terminal in Houston
04.27.2009 - NEWS
(HOUSTON, Texas, Feb. 17, 2009) — Renewable Energy Group® is excited to announce the opening of one of the Houston-area’s first biodiesel truck loading facilities effective immediately.

Customers have the option to pick up either B99 or B100 at the 24/7 loading station at the 35 million gallon
per year REG Houston production facility located at 11815 Port Rd. in Seabrook (adjacent to the LBC
Terminal).
Purchasing biodiesel at the new facility can offer significant value in several ways. First, REG® biodiesel will
be competitively priced with #2 Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel (ULSD) year round. Second, customers who
purchase REG biodiesel will be assigned RINS, which are currently worth over $0.20/gallon. Finally,
biodiesel gallons are exempt from Texas’ $0.20/gallon state excise tax according to state law.
“These three factors add up to significant value for our customers’ bottom line,” says Gary Haer, vice
president of sales and marketing for REG. “The current market conditions in Texas make biodiesel a
tremendous choice for truck stops and petroleum distributors throughout the Gulf Coast.”
Haer notes that while B99 or B100 can be picked up from new truck loading facility, several diesel terminals
located in the area create options for in-truck splash blending. Every load of REG biodiesel purchased comes
with a Certificate of Analysis outlining product quality. REG Houston has an on-site laboratory to ensure
quality throughout the biodiesel supply chain.
