OTEKO to Create Multipurpose Transshipment Complex in Taman by 2025

November 28, 2014 [PortNews IAA] - OTEKO is going to create a multipurpose transshipment complex within the operating district of port Taman. The complex with the capacity exceeding 100 mln t is to be completed by 2025, IAA PortNews journalist cites the company’s Marketing Director Aleksey Bogoyavlensky as saying at the International Congress Oil Terminal 2014.


According to him, the operating oil and gas terminal will handle 20 mln t from 2015

Besides, the company has commenced implementation of the project on construction of a dry bulk terminal capable of handling 35 mln t of cargo per year (coal, ore, mineral fertilizers, sulphur). The terminal is to be put into operation in 2016. 

Moreover, there is a plan to build a 15-mln t grain terminal with the launch scheduled for 2017. 

By 2025, the company also eyes the construction of a container and ro-ro terminal. 

Aleksey Bogoyavlensky notes that the approaches to these terminals have a sufficient capacity.
