“The contract is for an additional fuel tank at the Mina Al Fahal refinery,” the tender official told Reuters.
The Mina Al Fahal refinery in Muscat has a capacity to process about 85,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil. The other refinery located at Sohar has a production capacity of 116,000 bpd.
Oman has already issued tenders to update and expand both refineries that included the replacement of pipelines, a heat exchanger and installation of a catalyst.
