January 29, 2012 [OPIS] - NuStar will add another 11.8 million bbl capacity in a new terminal next to the existing one. This project will be completed in phases in 2013-2014.

The expansion project area was used by NuStar for storage of trailers and construction materials, and majority of the land is unused andcovered with vegetation. The new terminal will feature 31 new tanks for storage of crude oil, fueloil, jet fuel, gas oil and gasoline. It will also have a new jetty.

The current expansion for 1 million-bbl capacity of new distillates storage will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2012.

In Turkey, NuStar plans to increase blending ability of its two terminals byintroducing gasoline blendstocks. This move would make those terminals moreattractive for blenders, NuStar said.  Also, NuStar plans to connect the terminals to the Nato pipeline system for jet fuel supply deliveries. The two terminals, which are wholly owned by a joint-venture with S-Oil, are located in Mersin, Turkey. The two terminals have a total capacity of 930,000 bbl.
