Magellan Resumes Partial Operations at Gibson Crude Terminal
06.03.2011 - NEWS

June 2, 2011 [OPIS] - Magellan has resumed partial operations at its 50,000-bbl capacity Gibson, La., crude oil terminal late on Tuesday after shutting it in mid-May due to high water levels in the Mississippi River.

Water levels on the Atchafalaya River have decreased and Magellan is now able to receive barges on one of its two docks.

Magellan’s 2.8-million-bbl capacity Marrero heavy oil storage terminal resumed normal operations on May 19, about six days after the initial shutdown.
