ITC RUBIS Terminal Antwerp is Officially Opened

May 13, 2011 [TankTerminals.com] - The ITC RUBIS Terminal Antwerp is now officially opened. The construction works are still underway, but the terminal is now operational.


ITC Rubis Terminal Antwerp is a joint venture between Rubis Terminal (France), Intercontinental Terminals Company “ITC” (Houston, USA) and Mitsui & Co Europe (London).
The new terminal is located on the Left Bank of the River Scheldt in the port of Antwerp. The terminal is designed to store a wide range of liquid chemicals, gases and petroleum products and has a total of 100,000 m3 of storage capacity. The facility will be later expanded in two phases. First phase will include a construction of 40,000 m3 for chemicals in 10 tanks. Under the second expansion phase the 450,000 m3 will be added for storage of petroleum products only.
