Hascol's Present and Future Infrastructure Development Plans

June 10, 2014 [Business Recorder] - In February 2005, Hascol was granted full marketing license by the Government of Pakistan and since then, Hascol has been engaged in developing a retail network under the Hascol brand and as of 31st May, 2014, we have commissioned as many as 280 petrol pumps in the four provinces of Pakistan. The number will rise to 300 by the end of 2014.


As per OGRA’s rule and requirement, it is compulsory that all Oil Marketing Companies develop an infrastructure by constructing-Terminal/Installation and Depot in a specified time frame. Alhamdulillah, Hascol has achieved its targets keeping in mind OGRA’s rule to maintain 20 days capacity at each Installation.

Recently developed Installation/Terminal/Depot and upcoming Installations are given below:

1. HPL SHIKARPUR INSTALLATION (SINDH) Hascol’s first installation was completed and commissioned in March, 2013. We are the fourth oil marketing company that has constructed storage facility in Shikarpur. It has been constructed on 8 acres of land, which has been acquired on a 60 years lease. This storage house has a capacity of 6000 MT of HSD & 500 MT of Mogas. Installation is connected to PARCO pipeline.

2. HPL MACHIKE INSTALLATION (PUNJAB) Hascol’s second installation has been completed successfully in May, 2014. It is constructed on 5.9 acres of land. The installation has a total capacity of 6000 MT of HSD & 1000 MT of Mogas. It is also connected to the PARCO pipeline.

3. HPL MAHMOOD KOT INSTALLATION (PUNJAB) Hascol’s third storage facility will be constructed at Mahmood Kot, Qasba Gujrat, Tehsil Kot Addu, District Muzaffargarh. It is located on PARCO’s Refinery Link Road R-1 Gate. The land of 3.5 acres has been purchased by Hascol. The facility has a capacity of 6000 MT of HSD and 750 MT of Mogas. It will be connected to PARCO’s Refinery and PAPCO Cross Country Pipeline System.

4. HPL DAULATPUR DEPOT (SINDH) Hascol’s fourth storage facility will be built at Daulatpur located on G.T. Road at Daulatpur, Taluka Qazi Ahmed, District Benazirabad. The land of 3.75 acres has been purchased by Hascol for the storage facility. The depot will have a capacity of 3000 MT of HSD and 500 MT of Mogas.

5. HPL PORT QASIM TERMINAL HPL Terminal is situated at Plot No B-16, Port Bin Qasim, Karachi. Its total storage capacity is 32,400 MT. This terminal has connectivity to FOTCO Jetty. HPL has taken on a long-term lease with I – Puri Terminal.

6. HPL Terminal at Keamari Hascol has a joint venture for the development of Petroleum Storage Terminal at Plot No 43, Oil Installation area at Keamari, Karachi. Total storage capacity will be 36,000 MT.
