May 7, 2016 [Europoort Kringen] - The Port of Rotterdam finished the first part of the new jetty for the LBC terminal in Botlek Rotterdam last week. The jetty is expected to be put into operation in 2018.

The Port took care of the basic structure. LBC can now start with the installation of the required superstructures like manifolds, pipelines, etc. When the jetty is ready, LBC will be able to accommodate two parcel tankers of up to 40,000 DWT each simultaneously. The max draft at the jetty will be 13 m.

Together with the construction of the new jetty, LBC will be expanding its terminal with 250,000 m³ new capacity. The first phase of this, 36,000 m³, is expected to be put into service in the second half of 2016.
