Bulk Storage Tanks & Terminals Conference in Queensland - The event has been cancelled
10.11.2011 - NEWS

October 11, 2011 [Expotrade] - In recent years, Australian oil and gas production has experienced exponential growth. Existing port infrastructure has almost reached capacity. To maintain its position as a leading oil and gas producing nation, Australia must urgently explore the expanded need for bulk storage tanks and terminal facilities.

In 2009-2010, the value of Australian oil and gas production reached an unprecedented $28.3 billion, of which petroleum product exports represented $19 billion. During 2009, Australia produced:

* 94.2 million barrels – Oil
* 57.6 million barrels – Condensate
* 24.9 million barrels – LNG

International demand for bulk mineral and LNG export continues to strengthen, particularly from Asia and other emerging economies. Bulk storage tanks and port terminals play an integral role in the energy supply chain and Australia’s ability to meet export tonnage demand. Industry forecasts point to a significant shortfall in terminal and logistics capabilities, already under pressure.

Drawing specialists from across the oil and gas industry, this forum will examine the exciting opportunities offered by production growth and, create understanding of the infrastructure needed to support future industry expansion.

Exploring new technologies will create insight into the technical requirements of tomorrow’s bulk storage tanks and terminals. The conference will be an ideal arena to share the perspectives and experiences so important to developing strategic best practice and boosting operational efficiency. Key discussion points also include improving safety, security and environmental performance.

All delegates have the opportunity to network with technology and pivotal service providers to forge decisive new alliances. The Bulk Storage Tanks & Terminals conference will set new strategic directions and redefine industry vision to ensure the future of energy commodity trading and safeguard domestic supply.
