Botlek Tank Terminal AEO Certified

July 3, 2012 [Press Release: Botlek Tank Terminal] - The Dutch customs authorities have granted Botlek Tank Terminal in Rotterdam the AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) certificate. As a consequence, BTT, with its new terminal for storage and transhipment of petrol and (bio) diesel, is acknowledged as a reliable partner in the field of customs & international trade.


The AEO certificate is acknowledged throughout the entire European Union. Such certificates are granted to companies that avail of an appropriate track record, in addition to meeting specific criteria pertaining to quality systems, financial solvency, and automation.

The AEO status is testimony to reliability, and offers substantial advantages in international business transactions. Botlek Tank Terminal already had an extensive package of customs permits at its disposal, serving as support for all conceivable operational and commercial activities, and thereby ranking itself among the top segment of the Netherlands.

The AEO certificate enables BTT to continue the process of optimising the services we provide to our customers.
