May 4, 2015 [OPIS] - Diesel and gasoil stocks in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) trading hub increased by 1.3% this week, remaining well above year-earlier levels, according to data from BNP Paribas.
Total distillate stocks held in independent storage in ARA were 19.9 million bbl for the week ending April 30, figures released by the investment bank show.
This is 25,000 bbl higher than the previous week and more than 62% higher than year-earlier levels.
Jet fuel and kerosene stocks fell by 1.1% from the previous week, to 4.98 million bbl. However stocks of the middle distillate fuel remain 73% higher than a year earlier, the data show.
Total ARA product stocks — including gasoline, naphtha and residual fuel oil as well as distillates — fell 9% from the previous week, down to 37.67 million bbl. However total product stocks remain around 30% higher than year-earlier levels.
The draw was led by a 36% week-on-week fall in residual fuel oil stocks, down to 4.71 million bbl.
Gasoline stocks also fell by 22% in the week, down to 6.01 million bbl, the data show.
