April 3, 2015 [OPIS] - U.S. Oil, the petroleum and renewable energy distribution division of U.S. Venture, said on Thursday that it has acquired and taken over a Milwaukee-area oil products terminal from Marathon Petroleum Corporation, based in Findlay, Ohio.

The terminal, located at 9125 North 107th Street, will add 530,000 bbl of capacity to the U.S. Oil network and will expand its distribution network to 20 terminals.

U.S. Oil took over the Milwaukee area terminal on Wednesday.

U.S. Oil owns and operates terminals in Milwaukee, Green Bay, Chippewa Falls and Madison, Wis.; Cheboygan and Rogers City, Mich.; Bettendorf, Iowa; and Houston, Fort Worth and Bryan, Texas.

This creates a north-to-south network served by the Explorer, Magellan and West Shore pipelines and also provides Great Lakes and Mississippi River barge access with multiple rail facilities.

Plans are underway to upgrade technologies at the Milwaukee area facility.

This acquisition also strengthens U.S. Oil’s relationship with Marathon Petroleum Corporation and its customers.

“With this acquisition we will continue to service our customers through distribution, wholesale, branded and logistics businesses,” said Mike Koel, vice president of Business Development for U.S. Oil.
