February 26, 2014 [PortNews IAA] - Lenmorniiproekt OJSC has won the competition for engineering survey and design of project “Development of infrastructure at Payakhskoye and Severo- Payakhskoye oil fields. Oil terminal Tanalau” (Krasnoyarsk Territory), the company says.
The terminal is intended for shipment of oil to tankers for further transportation to Russian and foreign ports. The terminal is to have the capacity of 3.8 mln t per year with the prospect of development to 5 mln t per year. It will be able to accept cargoes necessary for the development and operation of oil and gas fields.
The terminal will comprise the berth for oil shipment, ice barrier, auxiliary berth, maneuvering and operational water area. Onshore facilities will comprise the industrial pipe-line (from the tank farm to the oil-loading terminal, border and customs control point, administrative and service buildings, engineering infrastructure.
The terminal will be located in the ever-frost area of the Far North and will feature challenging ice conditions at the Yenisey river which lacks production facilities and material resources.
The project will be implemented from the scratch: there are no infrastructure facilities and the navigation period allowing the delivery of heavy cargo is only 3-4 months long.
Lenmorniiproekt OJSC performs design of ports and transportation systems at all phases of the investment plan, performs all types of engineering surveys, comprehensive engineering survey and inspection of hydraulic structures, serves as general designer.
