LBC Appoints Lawrence Cresci as Group President of Operations

October 31, 2013 [LBC Tank Terminals] - Brett Simpson announced the appointment of Lawrence Cresci as LBC’s Group President of Operations. Lawrence will take up his new position starting from the 14th of October 2013, and will be based in from the group’s Bayport terminal in Houston, USA.


As Group President of Operations he will be responsible group wide for the all activities related to Operations, SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) and Engineering across all LBC terminals. Mr Cresci will also join LBC’s senior management as a member of the group’s Executive Leadership Team.

An operations and supply chain professional, Lawrence has more than 25 years of experience in managing the full spectrum of logistics and operations in the chemical industry, including terminaling, distribution warehouses, transportation, planning, manufacturing, engineering and safety, health and environmental performance.

Mr Simpson said of this appointment, “He [Cresci] brings to LBC an extraordinary pedigree in operational effectiveness and excellence, Lawrence has a track record of delivering significant results in operational performance throughout his career, and we are delighted to bring him on board at a time when LBC is realizing the company’s ambitions for growth through its significant program of investment and build out.”

Lawrence Cresci joins the LBC Group from The Dow Chemical Company, where he held the position of Corporate Director for Global Supply Chain Operations; most recently leading Dow Chemical’s global operations in developing and implementing best in class practices, delivering year on year service performance improvements which in turn positively impacted on operational productivity.
