Savage Adds Oilfield Logistics Services to North Dakota Terminal

September 20, 2013 [4-Traders] - Petroleum Services Hub near Trenton, N.D. Now Provides Pipe Handling, Inspection and Transportation Services to Bakken Oil Producers. Savage today announced the expansion of the Bakken Petroleum Services Hub in Trenton, N.D.

The terminal has added oil country tubular goods (OCTG) storage, transloading, trucking, threading, inspection, and clean and drift services for oil and gas producers in the Williston Basin.

These new capabilities complement Savage’s industry leading crude-by-rail transloading and other oilfield logistics services previously deployed in Trenton.

These new services are a direct result of Savage’s acquisition of Ft. Worth Pipe in July of this year. Through the acquisition, Savage expanded its service offerings to include OCTG-related services to leading oilfield customers at multiple locations in the Permian Basin, Barnett Shale and Marcellus Shale plays.

Trenton customers now have access to pipe threading, hydro-testing, and other pipe inspection and repair services along with accurate inventory management, on-time delivery and infield services to ensure that products get to the well site in “ready-to-run” condition.

These capabilities complement the initial services offered by Savage that support storage and loading of crude oil for rail transport.

“We are always working to bring expanded value to our customers,” said Nathan Savage, Sr. Vice President – Oil & Gas Solutions at Savage. “The addition of OCTG logistics to the Trenton terminal was a natural fit.

The knowledge and network of locations we’ve gained by joining with the Ft. Worth Pipe team will allow us to expand the suite of services we can provide to our oilfield customers.”
