Westway Group, Inc. Announces Expansions at Houston Terminal Locations

December 2, 2010 [Globe Newswire] - Westway Group, Inc. ("Westway" or the "Company") today announced that its subsidiary Westway Terminal Company LLC is in the process of expanding the capacity of two terminal sites:


  • Four tanks totaling approximately 4.2 million gallons of capacity in the aggregate are scheduled to begin construction in December 2010 at our Houston 1 terminal, with completion expected in the latter half of 2011. After completion, this facility will have a total capacity of approximately 62 million gallons.
  • Phase 5 of our Houston 2 facility is also scheduled to begin construction in December 2010, and it will consist of four new tanks totaling approximately 2.5 million gallons of capacity in the aggregate. We anticipate completion in the latter half of 2011. After completion, this facility will have a total capacity of approximately 37 million gallons.
