SOCAR terminal in Georgia reduces reception of oil and petroleum products

September 1, 2010 [Abc.az] - This august the Black Sea terminal (BST Ltd) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the Georgian port of Kulevi reduced reception of oil and petroleum products by 25.3% with lowering of its shipping by 22.7%

The company informed, in August 315,417 tons of oil and petroleum products were sent through BST to world markets against 407,982 tons in July and 440,000 tons in June. At that, the terminal accepted 306,109 tons of oil and petroleum products against 409,778 tons in July and 393,500 tons in June.

“During 7 months of the year it 2.018 million tons of oil and petroleum products were sent through the terminal for export and August increased this figure up to 2.333 million tons.

This May, BST accepted 474,000 tons of oil and petroleum products and of them exported 392,600 tons. In particular, 166,900 tons of diesel fuel were exported as well as 66,000 tons of black oil and 159,700 tons of oil, belonging to Tengizchevroil (TCO) and exported from Kazakhstan-based Tengiz field.
