Vopak Brazil expands storage capacity in Santos and Aratu

July 29, 2010 [NetMarinha] - Vopak Brazil, announced the expansion of its storage capacity in two ports: Santos and Aratu.

At the terminal Alemoa, Santos, the new area has been opened which allowed to expand the capacity by 37 200 m3, being distributed in 12 tanks of 3,100 m3 each.

In addition, Vopak announced the acquisition of a plot of 20,000 m2 next to the terminal, which will serve to expand the tank farm.

The terminal at the port of Aratu will have 13 more tanks, adding to current capacity 26,300 m3 (64,300 m3), representing an increase of 41%. The expected opening is March 2011.

At the same time, the company began a process of reconfiguration or upgrade of industrial units in the area of Terminal 1 Aratu. The goal is to streamline and modernize the operation of 36 tanks, making it more agile, rational, helping to increase performance and efficiency of the plant.
