January 4, 2010 [TankTerminals.com] - New quay wall of 850 m. along Kanaaldok B2

The Oiltanking Stolthaven Antwerp terminal, specialised in the storage and transhipment of oil and chemical products and gases, will be expanded along the Kanaaldok B2. The project is a cooperation with Evonik Degussa and the Port of Antwerp. Currently a new 850 m. long quay wall is under construction along the full length of the concession of Evonik Degussa. Two deep sea tankers or five barges can be moored along the new wall. The first phase will be commissioned in 2010 and the complete project towards the middle of 2011. This investment will expand the terminal’s transhipment capacity significantly.

The Oiltanking Stolthaven Antwerp terminal, which currently has a capacity of 1,136,400 m³, has been expanded over the years to more than twice of its original size with new tanks for oil and chemical products and gas.
