February 22, 2013 [Port of Rotterdam] - The capacity of tank terminal Vopak Vlaardingen is to be expanded by around 90,000 m3. 85 tanks were demolished on the Western side of the terminal last year. They will be replaced by 52 new tanks. The demolished tanks had a capacity of 50,000 m3, whereas the new storage tanks have a capacity of 140,000 m3.

The first new tanks will be put into use around summer. The terminal stores vegetable and animal oils and fats, the so-called oleochemicals and bio diesel, among other things.
