Brazil's Petrobras Names Marcelo Pogliese as New Chairman

April 07, 2026 [Reuters]- Brazilian state-run oil ​firm Petrobras said ‌on Monday its board of directors ​has elected ​member Marcelo Weick Pogliese as ⁠the new ​chairman.

 

Pogliese will replace ​Bruno Moretti, who left the role last month ​to become ​Brazil’s Planning and Budget ‌Minister. ⁠In a securities filing, Petrobras said Pogliese will remain ​in the ​post ⁠until the firm’s next ​general shareholders ​meeting.

Petrobras ⁠has called a general shareholder meeting ⁠for ​April ​16.
