February 21, 2022 [TheDigest] – In the Netherlands, Tank Storage Magazine reports that Vopak is building 16 new tanks at its Vlaardingen site to support the implementation of Shell’s new 820,000 tpa biorefinery at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rotterdam.

With Vopak set to store and supply feedstock for Shell under their new long-term agreement, the new tank farm with a total capacity of 64,000 m3 that is partly on top of where old tanks were destroyed to make way for the new tanks, is set to be one of the largest in the biofuel industry.
