September 5, 2018 [Tank News International] - The new VTTI terminal in Port Qasim, Pakistan, is on its way to becoming a key independent regional terminal in Pakistan as it begins phase one for HSD.

The 233,400 cbm Greenfield project is strategically located near Karachi and will be able to store a range of refined oil products. VTTI’s expertise and knowledge of the industry as well as its international network, combined with the support of its local partners, Hascol and Fossil, will ensure the terminal is a leading storage and distribution terminal for the growing domestic market.

The terminal offers 21 truck-loading positions for local delivery and is also connected to the White Oil Pipeline, which transports clean oil products up country. The available third-party jetty can handle oil tankers up to 65.000 dwt. The terminal is expected to be commissioned by the end of the second quarter/ the beginning of the third quarter of 2018.

It is expected that due to local economic and demographic growth, the demand for refined products will increase significantly in the future.
