Vopak wins Santos liquid bulk terminal tender

October 21, 2010 [Fairplay] - Royal Vopak has won the right to rent an area at the Brazilian port of Santos with a bid of 52.8M reais ($32M).

The 39,390m² zone will be used for the storage, loading and offloading of bulk liquids and chemicals, port officials said. Vopak Brasil beat three other bidders for the right to use the space. The port expects the rental contract to be signed next month. Vopak is the world’s largest provider of storage facilities for bulk liquids and operates 80 terminals in 31 countries.
