March 13, 2010 [Dow Jones] - Vopak said Friday it is in talks with oil majors, including Royal Dutch Shell PLC, to buy storage capacity from their struggling refineries.

“We’re in talks with a number of oil companies, including Shell, to buy the storage capacity of their refineries,” Chief Executive John Paul Broeders said at a press conference yesterday.

Oil majors are looking to sell some of their refinery assets because of the difficult market conditions. Shell wasn’t immediately available for comment.
