Vietnam's Binh Son refinery says 2024 output seen at 6.6 MM tonnes

November 22, 2024 [Hydrocarbon Processing]- Vietnam’s Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical said on Thursday that 2024 output at its Dung Quat refinery was estimated at 6.6 MM tonnes, beating its target by 15%.

 

The 130,000-bpd refinery is seeking to process crudes with higher sulfur content, it said in an emailed statement.

It said its crude distillation unit (CDU) capacity will operate at 118%–120% of designed capacity, and the capacity of the two sulfur recovery units will be boosted to 130%.

The company said it is also seeking to process new types of crudes and produce new products.
