United Riverhead Terminal Offering Tanks for Lease
03.01.2017 - NEWS

March 1, 2017 [United Riverhead Terminal] - United Riverhead Terminal, an affiliate of United Refining Company of Warren, Pa., is offering open tender for the usage of their storage tanks.

The United Riverhead Terminal is located on the North Shore of Long Island New York, 80 miles East of New York Harbor.

All products are received/shipped via marine vessels that load and offload at a deep water platform located one mile offshore on the Long Island Sound. The platform has two berths that can accommodate ships and/or ocean going barges, including tankers up to a 62’ draft, making United Riverhead Terminal the deepest tanker port on the U.S. East Coast. The terminal routinely receives ‘Suezmax’ class tankers and can accommodate VLCCs.

United Riverhead Terminal’s offshore platform is linked to the tank farm by two 24-inch submarine pipelines that connect to 20 fuel storage tanks with a combined storage capacity of 5.2 million barrels. The storage tanks range in size from 12M/bbls to 580M/bbls, and 11 of the 20 tanks are heated by a low pressure steam boiler system for use in storing heavy fuels, blendstocks, gasoils, and crude oil.

Available Tanks for Lease:

Tank 1: 260,000 bbls, heated storage, heavy oil storage, and available for immediate storage

Tank 7: 320,000 bbls, heated storage, heavy oil storage, and available for immediate storage

Tank 8: 320,000 bbls, heated storage, heavy oil storage, and available 4/1/17
