Turkmens to Build Oil Export Terminal on Afghan Border

February 18, 2013 [Central Asia Online] - Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov has signed a relevant resolution on developing the country's oil and gas and chemical industry, as well as on increasing exports to foreign markets.


The resolution calls for construction of the facility in Atamyrat District, Lebap Oblast, to begin in February and for it to be ready for use in February 2015, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported February 1. Its planned annual throughput capacity is 540,000 tonnes.
