Transshipment of Russian Oil Products via Port Ventspils (Latvia) Will Reduce 2.1 Times to 2 M t this Year

May 23, 2016 [PortNews IAA] - The volume of Russian oil products exported via the port of Ventspils (Latvia) will reduce 2.1 times to 2 mln t in 2016, IAA PortNews journalist cites Vladimir Nazarov, Vice-President of Transneft, as saying at the meeting of the Company’s Expert Council held in Moscow.


According to him, 15 mln t of oil products are be exported via port Primorsk (Leningrad Region).

In 2015, 17.9 mln t of Russian oil products were exported via the ports of the Baltic states.

By 2020, Transneft is going to export 25 mln t of oil products per year under Sever project (Kstovo (Vtorovo) – Yaroslavl – Kirishi – Primorsk pipeline).

Primorsk will transship about 60 mln t of oil per year.
