1) State-owned LNG giant QatarEnergy has signed a shipbuilding deal with China’s Hudong-Zhonghua for the construction of eight Q-Max LNG carriers as part of its shipbuilding program, according to shipbuilding sources.

2) US-based Energos Infrastructure, a joint venture majority-controlled by asset manager Apollo and minority shareholder New Fortress Energy, has purchased two 2021-built floating storage and regasification units from affiliates of Greece’s Dynagas.

3) Qatari LNG shipping giant Nakilat has placed orders worth about $955 million with South Korea’s Hyundai Samho for the construction of two LNG tankers and four LPG carriers.

4) Golar LNG’s converted FLNG, Gimi, has arrived at the site of BP’s Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project offshore Mauritania and Senegal. However, the FLNG will proceed to moor offshore Tenerife until the necessary preparatory activities are complete.

5) Norwegian FSRU player Hoegh LNG and Sociedad Portuaria El Cayao (SPEC LNG) have signed a new agreement for Colombia’s only FSRU-based LNG import facility in Cartagena.
