February 26, 2016 [TankTerminals.com & EasyFairs] - Vopak, the Port of Antwerp, National Bank of Belgium, Gulf Petrochem and the Port of Tarragona are just some of the major names speaking at StocExpo 2016, which is taking place at Antwerp Expo on 15-17 March.
The conference programme has local and global themes running throughout, reaffirming its position as the world’s leading international event for the tank terminal industry.
The highly practical conference, designed specifically for traders, regulators, key decision makers and terminal operators will see 30 experts discussing everything tank storage, from:
- creating value and investment opportunities
- to updates on regulations and tank integrity
Vladimir Belkovsky, Managing Director at Cophaspec Trading, will explore the regional imbalances of demand and supply, taking a close look at the improving relationship between terminals and traders.
Tank storage is an attractive business for investors and Iain Macleod, Partner at iCON Infrastructure will be detailing why. He will talk about the different investor types, objectives and outlooks, plus he will elaborate on investments made so far and how they have performed.
Krzysztof Szymichowski, Head of Operations, Marine Oil Terminal at Naftoport will take to the stage to present ‘Marine Oil Terminal Naftoport security of oil supplies’. During his talk Szymichowski will touch upon crude oil logistics in Central and Eastern Europe, Baltic Sea oil transportation perspectives, terminal technologies, ecological challenges and the security of supplies.
Staying with the safety theme will be Mike O’Brien, Head of Marketing at Newson Gale, who will present the latest European (2015) and US (2014) guidance for preventing fires and explosions caused by static electricity.
Technology and efficiency is a new focus for 2016, with Eduard J. Smits, Manufacturing IT, MES at Accenture, explaining the convergence of IT and OT in terminal operations. He will also outline how to align a business process with the IT needs of today’s real-time digital companies.
As part of this theme, Frank Kouwenberg, BD & Sales Manager at Cool Sorption will discuss ‘preventative maintenance for vapour recovery systems’, highlighting possible reductions in costs and downtime, which this can deliver.
