Sojitz, Reganosa and Rubis Terminal Sign MoU for Green Hydrogen Supply Chain

October 4 , 2022 [Tank Store Mag] – Japanese Industrial conglomerate, Sojitz Corporation, European bulk liquid storage company, Rubis Terminal, and Spanish infrastructure investment company, Reganosa, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to carry out a joint feasibility study for the development of a green hydrogen supply chain in Europe.

 

Reganosa is developing the H2Pole project, the first-ever regional hydrogen project, which will consist of a green hydrogen production facility in Galicia, northwest Spain. It is planned to be operational from 2025.

The second stage will look at expanding production to export green hydrogen or green hydrogen carriers to northwest Europe, where import demand is expected to increase to reach 2050 net-zero targets.
