SOCAR Aurora Fujairah Terminal to be Launched Earlier Than Planned
03.14.2011 - NEWS

March 14, 2011 [SOCAR Trading] - SOCAR Trading has recently invested in the construction of a 641,000 m3 terminal in Fujairah, via SOCAR Aurora, a joint venture company with Aurora Progress and the Government of Fujairah.

The construction of the SOCAR Aurora Fujairah Terminal is progressing ahead of schedule and the first 115,000 m3 of capacity are expected to come online in Q4 2011.

Earlier in December 2010, the SOCAR’s official said the terminal would be ready within 18 months.

The terminal will have 641,000m3 of storage across 20 tanks and will handle fuel oils, gasolines, naphthas and middle distillates (diesel, gasoil & jet kerosene). SOCAR Aurora will serve as an independent operator of the terminal, offering infrastructure capacity to third parties.
