Sirt Oil’s First Methanol Plant Begins Operations After Years of Shutdown

November 24, 2023 [LibyaHerald]- The state National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced Wednesday that after a hiatus that lasted for years, the first methanol plant of the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company began operations.

 

The methanol plant started with a production rate of 600 metric tons per day, which constitutes 60 percent of the plant’s production capacity, the NOC reported.
