Sinopec starts building large oil product storage facility in Sichuan

December 28, 2010 [Xinhua News Agency] - Sinopec Group, parent of Sinopec, has started construction of an oil product depot with a storage capacity of 200,000 cubic meters in Jianyang city, Sichuan province, the company said Tuesday.


Sinopec Group said it will invest 300 million yuan on the project, which is scheduled for operation at the end of 2012.

The depot will function as the receiving terminal for oil products to be transported to Sichuan via pipeline, and it is expected to receive 3 million tonnes of oil products annually when it is completed, according to the company.
