09.11.2023 By Tank Terminals - NEWS

September 11, 2023 [Oil & Gas]- Shell has recently extended significant maintenance contracts with Malaysian contractor Dayang Enterprise. These extensions encompass topside major maintenance services for Shell’s Sabah and Sarawak subsidiaries operating offshore Malaysia.

Referred to as “Package A,” the contract’s value will depend on work orders issued by these subsidiaries during the extension period, which spans from August 20, 2023, to December 31, 2024. Dayang acknowledges potential risk factors affecting this contract, such as the availability of skilled labor and materials, fluctuations in material prices, and changes in political, economic, and regulatory conditions.

Additionally, Dayang Enterprise has secured an extension for its 2018-2023 Pan Malaysia maintenance, construction, and modification contract (Package C) from Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company (KPOC). The contract’s value will be determined by work orders issued by the Kebabangan field’s operator offshore Malaysia, covering the period from July 17 of this year through the end of 2024. Dayang Enterprise has expressed its commitment to strict adherence to safety and operational procedures while executing both scopes of work.
