Shell Deploys Third LNG Bunkering Vessel in the Americas

July 17, 2023 [Safety 4 Sea]- Shell has deployed a third vessel in the Americas to be part of their fleet of 12 LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) bunkering vessels.

 

According to he newest 18,000m3 LNG bunker vessel is named New Frontier 2, is built in the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., Ltd. and is chartered from Pan Ocean Co., Ltd

The New Frontier 2 is capable of bunkering multiple ship types, both in port and offshore. The vessel can also provide loading and gas-up/cool-down services to LNG carriers and LNG-fueled vessels.

“She is our third vessel to be deployed in the Americas and is part of our fleet of 12 bunker vessels, enabling Shell LNG’s availability across key bunkering locations worldwide.”.… said

Shell’s investment in LNG bunkering is evident as it completed more than 250 LNG bunkering operations around the world, including in France, the Netherlands and Norway, in 2022.
