Shell Confirms Withdrawal from Masela PSC Offshore Indonesia

October 20, 2023 [Offshore]- Shell Upstream Overseas Services has completed the sale of its 35% interest in the Masela production sharing contract offshore Indonesia to PT Pertamina Hulu Energi and Petronas.

 

Shell Upstream Overseas Services (SUOS) has completed the sale of its 35% interest in the Masela production sharing contract (PSC) offshore Indonesia to PT Pertamina Hulu Energi and Petronas.

The transaction, which includes the proposed offshore Abadi gas project, followed receipt of regulatory approval from Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

INPEX operates Abadi, 150 km offshore Saumlaki in Maluku province. SUOS acquired its interest in the PSC in 2011.
