Sea-Tank is building a dedicated storage terminal in Antwerp

Sea-Tank is currently building its sixth storage terminal on a brownfield site in Antwerp. New terminal is due to open by September 2010 with an initial capacity of 520.000 m³.

The terminal will be located on a 1250-metre quay with a highly flexible berth arrangement that will allow up to 17 vessels to load and discharge simultaneously. It is designed to cope with seagoing vessels with a draft of up to 14.5 meters, as well as coastal tankers an d barges. There will be 29 storage tanks, including one of 48.000 m³ capacity that will be the largest independently owned tank in the port of Antwerp. This new infrastructure will allow an annual throughput of as much as 12m tones of product. The customer will be transshipping petroleum products as well as conducting some bunkering and distribution from the terminal.
